Who We Are
Voss Ranch owned and operated by Dan and Kathy Voss is a cow/calf operation with base in Jarrell, and current footprint of almost 1000 acres in Williamson County Texas. Our worldview is Christian, and we give glory to God for all His blessings, and we take our stewardship responsibility seriously. The business is family run and focused on raising beef in a conservative and sustainable environment, so as to produce an excellent product for the consumer. Our cattle are predominantly grass fed ranging on our 900+ acres and free of growth hormones, or other potentially harmful supplements.
About Dan:
Dan is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Biology, and graduate of UTMB Medical School in 1985 with M.D. degree. Prior to beginning ranching on a full time basis as of January 2023, Dan was ranching part time while being an established family practice physician for over 37 years, 31 of which had been at Georgetown Medical Clinic in Georgetown, Texas. He has immersed himself into daily operations of the cattle ranch and family land holdings.
About Kathy:
Kathy is a lifelong resident of Williamson County, and a member of the Shell family, landowners in the area since the mid-1800’s. Kathy received a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University in 1981 where she met Dan in their senior year, and they were married shortly thereafter. She and Dan homeschooled four children while living on acreage in the Jarrell area. She is active in the day to day ranch operation, as well as the management of family land holdings.
